These are probably images that the pop princess would prefer to erase from her memory: the police report concerning her arrest last March was revealed this Thursday. The videos and audio recordings it contains prove mortifying to Britney Spears.

It’s one of those moments destined to go down in celebrity history with a capital H. On March 4, 2026, it was around 9 p.m. when Britney Spears was driving erratically and at high speed on the southbound lane of US-101, near Newbury Park, California – to the point of falling into the crosshairs of the highway police.

The authorities’ report describes a fairly eventful nighttime incident. After a chase with police sirens blaring, Britney Spears refuses to get out of her car. According to the report, the agents then detected “a strong odor of alcoholic beverage” inside his BMW.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the singer, arrested for “suspicion of driving under the influence of a mixture of alcohol and drugs”, allegedly adopted fluctuating behavior during her arrest, oscillating between “aggressive and agitated attitude, and extravagance and helpfulness”.

When she finally agrees to get out of her vehicle, after about ten minutes of negotiations, dressed in a “worn” green dress and a large fedora, the singer claims not to feel well and refuses to submit to sobriety tests. However, she told the agents that she had consumed “Adderall and Prozac”, as well as a mimosa with champagne, a few hours before getting behind the wheel.

“I noticed a strong odor of alcohol emanating from his breath and from his person. Her speech was rapid and slurred, her gait was unsteady, and she played nervously with her fingers,” the agent states in his report.

The artist, on the other hand, vigorously denies being drunk. “I could probably drink four bottles of wine and take care of you no problem. I am an angel,” she would have argued during her interrogation, still estimating her level of intoxication as being “zero” out of 10.

The videos notably show the pop-star being handcuffed.

The documents further specify that, throughout this long and painful arrest, Britney Spears would have been subject to “significant mood swings”, sometimes speaking in a childish voice, sometimes with a British accent or giving in to uncontrolled fits of tears. The report states that the pop star ultimately took two breathalyzer tests and showed levels of 0.05 and 0.06, both below the legal limit of 0.08 percent in California. However, a toxicology evaluation determined that the star was “under the influence of a central nervous system stimulant”, a medication notably used to treat depression.
