Flavie Flament does not accept Patrick Bruel’s defense. After the host’s accusations of rape, the singer spoke on social networks, claiming to have never attacked the woman with whom he had a consensual relationship according to him: “I met Flavie Flament in the 90s. My career had begun, she was beginning hers. We crossed paths, we saw each other a few times, we had a brief history together. This relationship was neither violent, nor coerced, nor sneaky. There was no rape or drugs. I never mistreated her, nor abandoned her in front of a “sordid hotel”. Those who knew us then, those who have known us since, those who have seen us meet again over the years, on sets as in life, have never perceived between us anything other than a complicity born of common memories. I don’t understand why, suddenly today, Flavie Flament is telling a different and sordid story, and would file a complaint against me. I just know this story is false. I have never forced a woman. I have never drugged, manipulated or sought to subjugate anyone. I have never used my notoriety to abuse anyone and obtain non-consensual relationships. I understand that our age difference can cause a reaction today. I also understand that notoriety or status can bias a seductive relationship.«Â
This Friday, May 22, Flavie Flament was present on RTL to respond to Patrick Bruel. The presenter thus denounced the defense of the singer’s lawyer: “Can you imagine, in fact, for a minor victim, to be told that she consented to the harm done to her, to the tragedy she suffered, which trampled and ravaged her adolescence? These allegations, this defamation, it is absolutely terrible.”
