The Tour Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, founded in 1947 by Le Dauphiné Libéré, will have its 78th edition from June 7 to 14, 2026. The race will start in Vizille (Isère) and finish at the plateau de Solaison (Haute-Savoie).
The top 10 cities that have hosted the race the most frequently include Briançon in the first place. Vals-les-Bains in Ardèche, Valence, Chambéry, and Lyon are also on the list.
Saint-Étienne and Avignon are on the podium as the top 5 cities. Gap is in the fifth position with 20 starts and 18 finishes. Annecy is in fourth place, while Saint-Étienne is in third. Avignon takes the second spot with 28 starts and finishes. Grenoble leads the ranking with 45 starts and 60 finishes, where the first edition was won by Edward Klabinski, followed by Gino Sciardis and Fermo Camellini.
