Cannes has its festival, La Ciotat has the Cri du court. For its fifth edition, the international short film festival returns to the Eden-Théâtre cinema from Wednesday May 20 to Sunday May 24. “Our festival is growing magnificently and the audience is always growing. This year we present our selection of the best short films acclaimed around the world in 2025 and lots of new releases !“, rejoices Ida Marque-Bouaret, co-organizer, with Mireille Testanier, of the festival which will open its doors to the public on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
The two managers selected short films that won awards at international festivals to build a competition of eight screenings. A professional jury representing different cinema professions will be responsible for awarding the prizes. We will notably find the cinematographer Marc Stef, the scriptwriter Marie Ducret, the screenwriter and director Elodie Namer and the director and actor Mehdi Nebbou well known to the general public since 2021 with his role as a psychorigid police officer in the television series HPI success. Actors from the La Réplique collective will award the acting prizes and a young jury will vote for their film…
