Four wrestlers vie for the title. On Saturday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m., the François-de-Curel hall in Joeuf will host an international gala organized by the National Wrestling League (LNC). During the evening, one of the four fighters will receive the title of champion of Lorraine, a title that has not been awarded in Joeuf since 2013 and the victory of Redji Ray. The four contenders have never tasted this success, nor have they even come close to this title. To make a name for themselves, they must first win a semi-final before moving on to the most prestigious fight. There, each will have to showcase their strengths. “Nathan Amann, he’s the tallest athlete at 2.05 m and the heaviest at 118 kg,” details Sonia Schmitt, the league president. Super Boy, at 1.88 m and 114 kg, in his blue and red costume, will rely on his speed and strength to neutralize his opponents. The third is smaller, but most importantly, “more experienced thanks to his sixteen years of wrestling,” warns the president. He is Jimmy the Basher from the North. The last one is slimmer, faster: “He is the one who flies the most,” hence his name, Aramis, the airborne musketeer.
Dining area and shop
Each fighter will be drawn to face their opponent in the semi-final. Then, they must show extreme mental strength to reach the coveted prize. “The fights have no time limits, so the wrestlers will have to show endurance by going to the end of themselves and their physical abilities.” During the evening, a mixed duo fight between two pairs will also take place. On-site, the organization will be meticulous: the 400 visitors will be able to enjoy a refreshment stand and a dining area. A shop offering posters, t-shirts, and frames will be set up. Sonia Schmitt, president of the LNC, will provide commentary for the event and expects to see a full and electrified crowd.
(Note: The event includes a wrestling competition with four contenders fighting for the champion title, as well as a mixed duo fight. The organizers are preparing refreshment and shopping options for the 400 visitors attending.)
