Dole Gears Up for a Season of Sporting and Festive Events
As summer approaches, Dole confirms its dynamism with a series of sporting and festive events that will mark the upcoming weeks. Between international competitions, solidarity events, and new attractions, the city aims to attract a wide audience and enliven its territory.
The season will kick off from May 28 to 31 with the CSI de Dole, held at the equestrian center of the Chaux forest. This international show jumping competition will bring together riders of different levels, from CSI 1 to CSI 2, including events dedicated to young horses and amateurs.
Over four days, the site will host a packed program, featuring technical courses and highlights, especially during the weekend Grand Prix events. For enthusiasts and curious onlookers alike, the show promises to be captivating in a natural setting conducive to the event.
An Eclectic and Festive Program
On May 30, there will be a change of atmosphere with the first edition of Rock in Cross at Combe aux Loups in collaboration with the Dole Motorcycling Union. Conceived as a hybrid event, it will offer motocross demonstrations, initiations for youngsters, as well as entertainment, food trucks, and a bar.
The day will extend into the evening with three rock concerts, including a performance by Farid Medjane, former drummer of the band Trust. The goal is clear: to create a popular, accessible, and festive gathering capable of bringing together diverse audiences around a shared energy.
A Gala Match for a Worthy Cause
A few days later, on June 2, the Robert-Bobin stadium will host a special gala match. Organized by the Dole Cycling Criterion organizers and with the support of former international player Djibril Cissé, this event will bring together former professionals like Robert Pirès and Michaël Isabey, athletes, and volunteers.
Beyond the sporting spectacle, the main focus is on supporting Maël, a young boy with severe disabilities requiring expensive care. The proceeds will be donated to the association that supports the child. An evening where sports and solidarity will merge.
The Tour de France as the Culmination
The highlight of this sequence will be the passage of the Tour de France on July 17. Dole will be the starting city for the thirteenth stage, with a carefully designed urban route. The peloton will traverse several iconic arteries of the city center before heading towards Haute-Saône and Territoire de Belfort for a stage of over 200 kilometers.
In the coming weeks, Dole is establishing itself as a true playground for sport in all its forms. This dynamic sets the stage for an animated season where sportsmanship will blend with conviviality and commitment.
