The Independent Anti-Doping Tribunal (IDHP) has ruled. This Thursday, the court sentenced Asenathi Ntlabakanye to 18 months of suspension for doping. The South African pillar had tested positive during a test carried out on May 22, 2025. Anastrozole, a hormonal and metabolic molecule prohibited by the regulations, had been detected. Enough to justify the sanction, as the court explained in its press release.
“Under the South African Anti-Doping Regulations, this substance is classified as a “specified substance†and does not result in automatic suspension. The player also declared himself having used a banned anabolic steroid, DHEA. On September 9, 2025, he was formally charged with possession and use of anastrozole and use of DHEA. HAS”
The left pillar can still appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to try to change the sanction. Otherwise, it will no longer be able to repress a lawn with the end of the year 2027.
