Several Ligue 1 clubs including OL and Lens are very interested in Algerian international Ramiz Zerrouki, at the end of his contract with Twente.

In search of the best deals in view of the dramatic financial situation of Ligue 1, French clubs risk finding themselves in competition on a certain number of issues this summer. This is particularly the case for top-of-the-table clubs, whose economic means are not that significant despite their good ranking. Lens and Olympique Lyonnais will experience this this summer since the 2nd and 4th in the championship are interested in the same player to strengthen their midfield.

According to information from the Algerian press and the Turkish media Turkiyegazetesi, the Sang et Or and the Gones are, like Strasbourg, very interested in Ramiz Zerrouki. The 27-year-old Algerian midfielder on loan this season from Feyenoord to Twente and whose contract expires in June 2027. One year from the end of his lease, he will be available at a very affordable price, a boon for Ligue 1 clubs since we are talking here about an experienced 27-year-old player with 51 selections with Algeria.

OL and Lens will nevertheless have a lot to do because in this matter, for the moment, it is the Turkish club Trabzonspor which holds the rope with a head start. In Spain, Villarreal also has an eye on the situation of Ramiz Zerrouki and could draw up an offer to attract the 1m83 defensive midfielder. The Dutch club Feyenoord, which no longer seems to really count on the Algerian international, could accept a departure for 6 million euros according to the Turkish press.

A fair price which will be within the limits of Lyon, Lens or Strasbourg this summer. It now remains to be seen whether the Amsterdam native, who has spent his entire career in the Netherlands until now, will be keen on the idea of trying an adventure in Ligue 1 or whether he will favor Turkey or Spain for the rest of his career. At OL, we in any case see Zerrouki as a possible successor to Tanner Tessmann in midfield, with the American’s departure seeming almost inevitable.
