Nolwenn Leroy is on Monday May 18 in L’Été 36 on TF1, and on this occasion, she answered questions from Gala.fr, in particular on her musical career.
A year after Covid-19, Nolwenn Leroy returned to music to take us on a journey. With Brésil Finistèrethe singer promised us a dancing summer and revealed a much more sunny image. A few months later, she released the albumThe Cavalry produced by Benjamin Biolay and Pierre Jaconelli. And since 2021, Nolwenn Leroy has left music aside, preferring fiction projects. ”It’s true that it’s starting to be a while since the last album. I feel that many are starting to ask me the question about this digression…”, she whispers to us during a forthcoming interview. ”The acting takes up a little more space than expected.”
”I’ll come back soon, I’m betting everything on 2027”, Nolwenn Leroy promises us at the start of the interview. It must be said that she is at a turning point in her career. After changing teams during the promotion of her last album, she is now faced with a major challenge: reforming one. ”I finished my contract with Universal. La cavale was my last album and I had been with them for twenty-five years. Today, I have never been so free. So the question will be how to embrace this freedom as best as possible by surrounding myself today with the right people in strategic positions in relation to what has become music today.,” she confides.

The new world of music, this new challenge in the career of Nolwenn Leroy
Nolwenn Leroy is well aware of this: in just a few years, the world of music has completely evolved. No longer need a record company for an artist, some even go independent and use a structure only for the distribution of the record. A possibility that the one who shares Arnaud Clément’s life is considering: ”I think it’s fortunate both in relation to the path that was mine and what may have been imposed on me at the beginning, to have this freedom today. At the same time, it’s wonderful, and at the same time it’s dizzying when you’ve worked differently for twenty years.”
One thing is certain, when Nolwenn Leroy proposes her new project, it is that she will have thought about it carefully, starting with a “concept fort”.Â
