The village welcomed people with disabilities for the second time to introduce them to two disciplines: kickboxing and pétanque.

This day dedicated to sports, an incredible tool for inclusion, respect, and social connection, came to fruition thanks to the initiative of the No Limits Fit Fight club, Dakilla Squad section, in collaboration with the Departmental Committee of Adaptive Sports. Just like the first edition in January, the pétanque club eagerly accepted the invitation to share this moment filled with conviviality, sports, and living together.

The day began at the boulodrome where around thirty participants from specialized establishments across the department were able to learn pétanque in a warm and caring atmosphere. The smiles on the participants’ faces during the shared lunch alone spoke volumes about the success of the morning. In the afternoon, the activities continued at the Tamaroque space with two workshops offered by educators and volunteers: pétanque games at the back of the complex alternating with an initiation to kickboxing in the hall.

Short Context: The village organized a sports day for people with disabilities, featuring kickboxing and pétanque.

Fact Check: The No Limits Fit Fight club is working towards becoming fully affiliated with the French Federation of Adaptive Sports.

A successful day, focused on sharing and humanity, concluded in a warm atmosphere with sincere thanks extended to the municipality for their support and hospitality, as well as to the village’s pétanque club, which once again enthusiastically joined in this inclusive initiative.
