Focus on the 11th Chinese Film Festival in France.

It starts on Sunday in Paris and has the particularity of circulating in France, with a contemporary and unique program, until June 30.

Between major popular productions and author’s works, the programming highlights the richness of genres and themes, ranging from animation to thriller, including drama, historical film and even documentary.

The 11th Chinese Film Festival in France is co-organized by the China Cultural Center in Paris, the China Cinema Administration and the Pathé Group, with the support of the China Film Archives, the National Cinema Museum of China and the Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé Foundation.

This edition presents four main sections – New releases, Classic films, Documentaries, Virtual cinema – as well as a thematic exhibition “A century of memory of the big screen, two decades of new cinematic chapters – journey through 120 years of light and shadow of Chinese cinema.”

La section Nouveautés propose des films variés, parmi lesquels Scare out, The Lychee Road, Like a Rolling Stone, Shen Zhou 13, Curious Tales of a Temple et Viva la vida.

 

The Classic Films section pays homage to major works in the history of Chinese cinema, including The Divine and Children of Trouble Times. The Documentaries section, focused on historical, artistic and humanist themes, reveals the depth and scope of Chinese images.

The Festival will take place in May and June 2026 in around ten cities, including Paris, Strasbourg, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, Cannes, Brest, Montargis, as well as overseas in Reunion and New Caledonia.

Among the films presented, the public will be able to discover Zhang Yimou’s new film “Scare out”, (see photo below) “Endless journey” by Dai Mo (multi-award winning in China), “The lychee road” by Dong Chengpeng…
