Minister of Foreign Affairs (AE), International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates, Badr Abdelatty, affirmed the capital importance that the state gives to the Arab region, being a strategic pillar and a foundation of national security Egyptian.
Mr. Abdelatty was speaking during a meeting this Thursday with the chairman of the Arab Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives, Mohamed Abou Hemeila, in order to consult on ways to boost the mechanisms of joint Arab action and coordinate efforts in the service of national interests, while supporting the security and stability of the region.
During the meeting, Mr. Abdelatty underlined the pride of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its collaboration with the House of Representatives and its various committees.
He noted the importance of coordination with Arab partners to address growing common regional challenges and to strengthen Arab solidarity in the face of rapid developments and successive crises in the region.
The Head of Egyptian Diplomacy also reviewed efforts to strengthen bilateral relations with brotherly Arab countries, emphasizing the importance of the role of parliamentary diplomacy and the activation of friendship groups to consolidate institutional ties with Arab parliaments.
He also stressed the importance of continuing efforts to support the fundamental principles of Egyptian foreign policy, particularly respect for the sovereignty of states, refusal of foreign interference in Arab affairs, and promotion of areas of economic cooperation and investment. between brotherly Arab countries.
For his part, Mr. Abou Hemeila expressed the concern of the Arab Affairs Committee to continue cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in order to support the approaches and priorities of Egyptian foreign policy on the Arab scene, and to actively contribute to the protection of the parameters of Egyptian and Arab national security in the face of current challenges.
