The head of RN deputies Marine Le Pen denounced on Friday May 8 the launch of an investigation by the European prosecutor’s office into media training intended for the 2022 presidential campaign, seeing it as a “maneuver” to “smear” the president of the RN Jordan Bardella. These investigations by the European prosecutor follow an article in the Canard enchaînéfollowed by a complaint against X at the beginning of December from the AC association!! Anti-Corruption, addressed to the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office (PNF) in Paris.
These media training sessions, financed by European funds, would in fact have served to prepare Marine Le Pen’s electoral campaign for the 2022 presidential election. Denouncing “excesses and insults” demonstrating, according to her, the “radicality” of AC! Anti-Corruption, Marine Le Pen judged on Friday, on Ici Nord, that the investigations carried out by the European prosecutor’s office were “perfectly natural”.
She assured that her party was “at the disposal of the prosecution to provide it with all the elements to demonstrate that in reality, all of this is a vast maneuver aimed at sullying the National Rally and more particularly Jordan Bardella”. “Perhaps, given his popularity”, she added while the president of the RN is leading all the polls for the 2027 presidential election.
According to the far-right leader, the objective of the association which filed a complaint is to echo the file of the parliamentary assistants of the FN MEPs (which has since become RN), in which the Paris Court of Appeal must say on July 7 whether Marine Le Pen will be ineligible for the next presidential election.
“The association in question said it itself (…) that in reality, its objective is to put pressure on the deliberation which is currently underway before the court of appeal”, affirmed Marine Le Pen.
