The duo of chatty colleagues, created by Alex Lutz and Bruno Sanches in 2012 on Canal +, will be transposed to the big screen, reveals Le Film français.
We missed them so much. Catherine and Liliane, the two open space gossips, played by Alex Lutz and Bruno Sanches are back. According to information from French Film, relayed by allociné, the duo created for sketches in The Little Journal on Canal+ in 2012, will return to cinema.
The program, which featured two sharp-tongued editorial secretaries, who commented on current events with accuracy and humor.
For four years, their hilarious exchanges, led by the blonde Catherine (Alex Lutz) tormenting the candid brunette Liliane (Bruno Sanches) a little, were the highlight of the Petit journal. And if Catherine and Liliane survived several seasons following the departure of Yann Barthès on TMC, they definitively left the air in 2019.
Midinette five
Alex Lutz, awarded a Molière on May 4, for his show Sex, Grog, and Rocking Chairdirected a TV movie and four films, including Guy in which he portrayed an old glory of the French variety, and Connemarataken from the book by Nicolas Mathieu.
His accomplice Bruno Sanches also appears there. As comfortable in a midinette quinqua with a pearl necklace as in lutin of Father Christmas zealous or as a prehistoric man, he recently played in Operation Portugal 2or Blackfaces.
We don’t know when, or in what form, Catherine and Liliane will take over the big screen, but we can’t wait.
