L’ÃŽLE-ROUSSE – Literary presentation with music
Saturday May 9 at 5 p.m., the Arte Libri association presents the novel Walk in your footsteps by Leonor de Recondo. The presentation of the book will be enhanced by a musical duet with Battista Acquaviva. Meet at the Sanguinetti House Gardens.
CALVI – Jazz and Corsica on stage
Saturday May 9, at 9 p.m., meet for an evening, two concerts, and a set bringing together two groups. On the one hand, Radiche, the project of Fanou Torracinta who, notably surrounding himself with Fabrice Andreani on vocals, revisits the repertoire of Charles Rocchi, I Fratelli Vincenti, Tony Toga and Antoine Ciosi. On the other hand, Transatlantic Hot Club, a group which notably welcomes Balanin accordionist Jeremy Lohier, today embodying the momentum of free and inventive jazz, at the crossroads of continents and sensitivities.

FURIANI/L’ÉŽLE-ROUSSE – Cine Donne relocates
The Cine Donne festival continues. See you on May 11 in Furiani, at Cinema U Paradisu with, at 8:00 p.m., the Cantid’elle choir followed, at 8:30 p.m. by the screening of the film “Who shines in combat” by Joséphine Japy. Tuesday May 12, at 8:30 p.m. at the Le Fogata cinema, closing evening of the Cine Donne women’s festival, dedicated this year to the health and mental health of women, with the screening of Who shines in battle by Joséphine Japy, followed by a round table. The film is inspired by the true story of the director and actress’ younger sister, Bertille, who suffers from a severe disability.
VALLICA – Walks with the regional laboratory of archeology
Friday May 8, from 10:30 a.m., the town hosts a stage of the Dumenicata balanina, organized by the LRA (regional archeology laboratory). The day, accessible to all, will begin with the discovery of the protohistoric site of Castiglione. Participants will then continue with a heritage loop along the Tartagine, discovering local riches: mills, presses, threshing floors, bridges and archaeological remains, in a remarkable natural setting. A picnic is planned at the start of the route. The visit will continue with the discovery of the village of Vallica. Along the way, a remarkable oak tree among the most imposing in Europe, as well as local products at “A casa di i produttori†. Participation libre.
PRUNELLI DI FIUM’ORBU – Concert and theatre
May 10, at 6 p.m., Timo-Pieri Hall, concert by Quintina, a female ensemble of polyphonies from Corsica and the world from the Ajaccian basin. On the program: island polyphonic songs, from the profane to the sacred, from the popular to the scholarly, from the traditional to recent creations from Riacquistu. May 14, at 6 p.m., Timo-Pieri room, story theater with Chaudun, the wounded mountainby the Cie Le Pas de l’Oiseau and Bal Trad.

PIGNA – Concert and spectacle at the Auditorium
Friday May 8, the Auditorium welcomes the group Altare and a sacred and profane repertoire. Saturday May 9, exit from the Compagnie Bal’Dilà residence with OK-KO. This new choreographic piece will ultimately bring together two dancers (Déborah Lombardo & Mathéa Rafini), a creator of electronic music (Pasqua Pancrazi) and a drummer/bassist (to come), showcasing several energies: dance, music and combat sports. The performances begin at 6:30 p.m.
