No unpleasant surprises for Luis Enrique. This Tuesday, Paris Saint-Germain unveiled the squad that would travel to Germany for the Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich. And the Spanish coach will be able to rely on a nearly complete squad to try to reach the final for the second consecutive year.
As expected, Achraf Hakimi and Lucas Chevalier are still absent. The Moroccan, who suffered a right thigh injury at the end of the first leg match at the Parc des Princes, is still receiving treatment and will miss the coming weeks of competition. The French goalkeeper also injured his right thigh during training last Wednesday and is unable to play.
Several youth players called up
All the other usual starters are present, from Matvey Safonov to Ousmane Dembele, including Marquinhos, Vitinha, Joao Neves, Deyverson, and Nuno Mendes. The indispensable Warren Zaouma-Emery, who has been omnipresent this season and is called up to replace Achraf Hakimi at right back, is also in the squad.
It is worth noting that several youth players will make the trip. This includes Ibrahim Mbaye, a regular in the first-team squad, as well as Bilal Laurendon and Arthur Vignaud. The two goalkeepers, aged 20 and 18, are taking advantage of Lucas Chevalier’s absence to complete the squad alongside Matvey Safonov and Renato Marin.
