DEF’LAN 2026: Inter-Army E-Sport Tournament
From Saturday 9th to Monday 11th May 2026, the Defense Digital Commission (CND) will organize the new edition of the DEF’LAN inter-army e-sport tournament at Fort du Kremlin-Bicêtre.
Over three days, seven teams will compete in a multiplayer strategy game and a first-person shooter game, promoting competition, cohesion, and collective achievement.
The event will be livestreamed on dedicated Twitch and YouTube channels.
Event Objectives
Cohesion: Strengthen bonds between different military and civilian entities around common values like teamwork and self-improvement.
Digital Culture: Highlight cognitive skills useful in modern combat, such as reflexes, strategy, and analysis.
Attractiveness: Enhance the image of the armed forces to strengthen the Army-Nation bond.
Prominence: Identify top internal talents to represent the ministry in international competitions.
Main Idea: Utilize video gaming as a strategic tool to bridge the gap between youth, defense, and digital realms.
New Features of this Second Edition
The competition will feature a new FPS (First Person Shooter) game, with all three armed forces participating. The National Navy will introduce a competitive team for the first time in a MOBA tournament, competing against the Air and Space Army, the Ground Army, the inter-army Arkhée team, and the CND. Who will win the GameGend trophy?
The event will include live commentary on the matches and other surprises. There will also be demonstrations of other e-sport applications, showcasing our professions and skills.

- HexaForce Esport – Ground Army E-sport & Gaming
- GAME GEND – National Gendarmerie
- MNES – National Navy E-sport
- Arkhée – Ministry of Armed Forces and Veterans’ official team
- CND Nyx – Defense Digital Commission Team 1
- CND Nyx Academy – Defense Digital Commission Team 2
