On September 5th, the small village of Martres-de-Rivière will come alive with the sounds of old soccer cleats. The call has been made: all players who wore the local team’s jersey in the 1980s are invited to a day of reunion filled with nostalgia and conviviality. The goal is to rekindle memories, with laughter and nostalgia likely circling around the infamous “disallowed goal of 1987,” a moment that still lingers in collective memory and locker room conversations. This is a unique opportunity to relive the emotions of a time when local soccer meant passion and unwavering camaraderie. For the organizers, this gathering is a true challenge to bring together the large Martrais football family. Everyone is encouraged to bring their anecdotes, yellowed photos, and most importantly, their undiminished enthusiasm. No need to warm up, the only requirement is to keep the team spirit alive. To participate, simply register before June 6th. The 25 € fee, which includes the day’s festivities, will help fund this emotionally rich sharing moment. Registrations can be done by phone at 06 35 48 88 00 or 06 17 53 05 28. To all former players, whether you ran on muddy fields, scored unforgettable goals, or simply cheered along: come join in! We are counting on you to write a new chapter in the history of soccer in Martres-de-Rivière.
