Promoted to LF2 at the start of the season and qualified for the playoffs, Champagne Basket Feminin was stopped in the quarterfinals by La Tronche Meylan. At the beginning of a long offseason, the Reims club has nearly finalized its roster for the upcoming season. Two recruits have been announced, with two more expected to arrive. As previously announced (here), 40% of the roster is being retained.

The foundation will be solid… On its social media this week, Champagne Basket Feminin confirmed what Sport Club had been reporting for several weeks, that 40% of the roster would be retained, including several key players that the club managed to keep. This confirms ambitions following a successful 2025-26 season. Back in LF2 after a year in N1, the Reims team, initially coached by Mathieu Trouvay then Vincent Dupuis, proved that they belong in the Elite league and came close to the top half of the table.

Under these circumstances, Vincent Dupuis, who took over from Mathieu Trouvay, had a successful second half of the season. He was quickly extended in his role and is now expected to be assisted. Under his leadership, the coach from Champagne-Ardenne lost Lauryn Vieira, one of the standout players of the season, among the top point guards who the CBF couldn’t retain against Voiron’s offer, one of the division’s biggest budgets and still in the running for promotion to LFB.

A strong quartet, two young reinforcements

Nevertheless, Vincent Dupuis will have a core group of 4 very strong players to build the roster for the next season. Among the best players of the season, American Anya Poole, the season’s top player (11.4 points on average, 10.4 rebounds and 17 efficiency rating) and Eva Faillot, who made significant progress this season, finishing as the top scorer (11.7 points on average) remain key players. Also valuable (9.5 points, 5.8 rebounds), Khadidiatou Diouf will continue her journey in Reims, as will Kerryne Aman, also valuable in the Reims team’s collective effort. Other players who have left include Lauryn Vieira, Stella Kessler, Tukayi Sissoko, Margot Ounounou, Clarance Kongo, Sarah Saint-Martin.

As reinforcements, Champagne Basket Feminin announced this week the signing of young Astrid Courbot (point guard) and Neyvaeh Marcin (shooting guard-small forward), both coming from a promising season with Pôle France, who will experience professionalism in Reims. The two players have been selected among the 21 players for the preparation camp before the U18 Euro to be held in early August in Sweden. They are expected to be joined in Reims by two players currently engaged with their club in the LF2 playoff semifinals. An active point guard, capable of shooting 3-pointers and penetrating the paint, and a team-oriented forward. Confirmation in the upcoming days after the end of the playoffs.
