The cinema of Réquista will host Ashley and Quentin on Thursday, May 14 at 8 pm for the presentation of an exceptional film titled “En selle, la chevauchée kirghize”. This feature film recounts their equestrian adventure in Kyrgyzstan between 2019 and 2021, immersed in a preserved nomadic culture. Bordering on documentary and travelogue, the two protagonists share an extraordinary expedition marked by vast landscapes, authentic human encounters, and the bond of trust established with their horses. The audience will witness all the stages of this journey, from the initial preparation to the bivouacs, including the purchase of the mounts, logistical challenges, and moments of joy. This work has received the award from the La Rochelle Adventure Film Festival and has been broadcast on Canal +, Ushuaia TV, and RTS. Ashley was awarded the Adventurer’s Prize. This emotionally rich narrative concludes with the promise of the riders to return for their companions. Ashley and Quentin will be available to interact with the audience after the screening. This first part will be followed by a second film, “Le Sabot montagnard”, focusing on the return of the horses to France. A large turnout is expected for this free event.
