The first edition in 2024 had an estimated success with a total of 220 spectators for three concerts. Two years later, the Amis des Orgues des Andelys (Eure) are organizing their 2nd Baroque Music Festival. All proceeds will go towards the restoration of the Ingoult organ at the Saint-Sauveur church in Petit-Andely.

The opening act, Les Sauvages, will kick off on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 5 pm at the Notre-Dame collegiate church in Andelys. The ensemble will feature a repertoire focusing on France-Germany in the 18th century.

The festival will continue on Saturday, May 16, with a conference at the parish center. Christian Roy will delve into the history of the former Andelys organ manufacturer, Dumont-Lelièvre.

Music will return on Sunday, May 31, with the Opera Normandie Rouen orchestra performing at the Notre-Dame collegiate church. Under the direction of Rinaldo Alessandrini, soloist Sarah Mingardo and the musicians will interpret Vivaldi’s Nisi Dominus and other sacred works.

Just like two years ago, the Ensemble Correspondances, this time in instrumental trio, will close the Baroque Music Festival on Sunday, June 7. Mathilde Vialle on viola da gamba, Thibaut Roussel on theorbo, and Sébastien Daucé on harpsichord will offer a concert centered around Marin Marais’ “Les Voix Humaines.”

2nd Baroque Music Festival of Andelys, from May 3 to June 7, 2026, at the Notre-Dame collegiate church in Andelys. Concerts between 10 and 15 euros, free for under 18s. Online reservations available. The conference on Saturday, May 16, about the Dumont-Lelièvre organ factory at the parish center is free.
