On the agenda: discovery and trying on of military equipment, presentation of the operational units of the base as well as the different trainings (notably the one provided by the school of training for flying personnel, or EFPN, stationed on the base), participation in collective sports activities (such as tug of war), and exchanges with the Airmen. Many activities to better understand the profession of arms and the values of the Air and Space Army.

Through this day of immersion, these young people were able to understand that in the armies, “no one advances alone”: team spirit, collective work, mutual assistance, surpassing oneself … This event thus illustrated in a tangible way the commitment to the Nation, notably within the framework of National Service.

The Crew

Under the theme of “the crew”, this day echoed the work of Joseph Kessel, writer, war correspondent, prominent figure in the military and aeronautical world, and godfather of the 2024 promotion of the Air and Space School. As he wrote: “They were a moral entity, a cell with two hearts.” A quote that still illustrates today the strength of a crew on each mission.
