DECATHLON MAIN PARTNER OF THE LFP UNTIL 2032

The Professional Football League (LFP) is pleased to announce the renewal and strengthening of its partnership with DECATHLON. A partner since 2022, the brand has reached a historic milestone by becoming a Major Partner of the LFP for an additional five seasons (2027-2032). In this role, DECATHLON will continue to provide the official balls for Ligue 1 McDonald’s and Ligue 2 BKT.

The elevation of DECATHLON to the position of Major Partner confirms the supply of official balls for all competitions. It also includes an enhanced collaboration with the LFP. DECATHLON will benefit from increased visibility, especially during Ligue 1 McDonald’s and Ligue 2 BKT matches, as well as on the digital platforms of the competitions.

Continuing this partnership also values “French-style football”. The future official ball will still be designed and conceived at the dedicated DECATHLON design center for team sports in Tourcoing in northern France. This partnership is based on strong proximity, both geographically and humanly, making the French field a true laboratory of innovations.

Designed to meet the high-level requirements, this collaboration relies on DECATHLON’s expertise and a co-design approach with French professional football stakeholders. DECATHLON continues to develop the official balls for Ligue 1 McDonald’s and Ligue 2 BKT, translating the expertise of professional players into equipment accessible to all footballers. DECATHLON ensures that every practitioner has top-of-the-line innovative equipment without compromising on price.

This new cycle is also part of a sustainability approach. DECATHLON and the LFP share a common ambition: to design more durable balls and limit their renewal. Through this approach, DECATHLON addresses environmental challenges without compromising on performance.
