Founded in 2000 by Isabelle and Bernard Charbonnay, Indyanna Pub has become a key player in sports events. Now also run by their children, the company combines family expertise with dynamic growth to support sports event organizers.
Ancestral Journey to Sports Service The name “Indyanna Pub,” an anagram of the names Nina and Andy, the children of the founding couple, reflects the family DNA of the company. Born from the professional reconversion of Isabelle and Bernard Charbonnay, both former advertising employees, the company initially developed from their family home before moving to dedicated offices in 2005.
A decisive turning point came in 2013 with Andy’s arrival as an apprentice, marking the start of a recruitment and sustained growth dynamic. The company primarily targets sports clubs, leagues, federations, as well as schools, with a strong specialization in running, representing 80 to 90% of its activity.
Iconic events like “l’Altriman” (1,500 participants), the “Luchon Aneto Trail” (3,700 participants), or “Octobre Rose” in Rochefort (5,000 participants) have trusted Indyanna Pub for sometimes over 15 years.
Unique Expertise in Consulting and Customization Indyanna Pub’s strength lies in its privileged relational approach. Unlike many competitors who favor impersonal online platforms, the company maintains direct human contact, crucial for guiding often novice volunteers in event organization. Each salesperson has a direct phone line and assists clients from A to Z, including in-house graphic exchanges by a dedicated team of designers.
The company offers a wide range of technical and original products: custom medals in metal or wood, sublimated running t-shirts allowing full customization, running accessories like sleeves, headbands, hydration belts, or flask bottles.
The ability to work directly with factories in Asia and Eastern Europe allows for competitive rates while ensuring impeccable quality, validated by the systematic sending of free samples.
Exemplary Resilience and Ambitious Prospects The COVID-19 pandemic posed a major challenge for Indyanna Pub, with an 85% drop in revenue in 2020. Thanks to rigorous management, a solid cash flow built up over the years, and the commitment of the management to maintain salaries at 100%, the company weathered the crisis without layoffs or resorting to government aid. The recovery, effective since March 2022, has been spectacular, far surpassing pre-crisis activity levels, with a growth rate of 20% per year since then.
Building on this momentum, Isabelle, Bernard, Andy, and Nina continue their development pragmatically, emphasizing service quality over unchecked growth. The company plans to expand its expertise to new mass sports like Hyrox and skiing, while solidifying its position as a leader in the very specific niche of sports events with 1,000 to 5,000 participants, where personalized support makes all the difference.
