In the return match on Sunday, several scenarios are possible to secure a spot in the Final Four (June 6 and 7 in Budapest). The first criteria is simple: the difference in goals over the two matches. So, if Bistrița wins by more than one goal, the Romanian team led by Danila So Delgado will secure their qualification.
On the other hand, if Bistrița wins by exactly one goal, like Brest in the first leg, then the two teams will be perfectly equal. In the Champions League, there are no extra time or away goals rule.
In this case, the qualification will be decided in a penalty shootout. Each team will designate five shooters. If the tie persists after this initial series, sudden death will come into play. It goes without saying that Raphaëlle Tervel and her players hope to avoid such an uncertain and stressful scenario.
