Rodez was held to a draw by Laval (0-0) on Friday, April 24th, in the context of the 32nd day of Ligue 2.
Didier Santini, coach of Rodez: “We knew we had three finals, we needed to try to bring back three points to put more pressure on our direct opponents and it comes back behind. We lacked rhythm in the first half, but we had a better second half, with plenty of opportunities to win. On one hand, 18 matches without losing is crazy, but you always want to win. Laval played it well by trying to break the rhythm, not giving us too much space. We lacked precision.”
Olivier Frapolli, coach of Laval: “It’s a good point considering the match, because we didn’t create much, except at the beginning and at the end of the first half. We saw that we lacked freshness tonight. Rodez is a difficult team to play against. Sometimes when we attack, it’s almost like we’re the ones in the most danger. In terms of the match, it’s not a bad point, even if we wanted to win.”
