On Saturday afternoons, starting from March 28th until the end of September, ten guided outings are organized by the Cyclo sport villefranchois. In partnership with the French Federation of Cyclotourism and its Aveyron departmental committee, the club has just signed a new hosting agreement. As Marc, in charge of this activity within the club, explains: “After the success of these guided outings last year on Saturday afternoons, it was logical to continue them this year.”

For the club, this is an opportunity to allow occasional cyclists, including those on e-bikes, non-members, to discover road cycling and to attract new beginner members to the practice of cycling. Specifically, based on a predefined schedule of ten outings from March to September, the meeting place is set on Saturdays at 1:30 pm, at the Treize-Pierres hall in Villefranche-de-Rouergue. Supervised by licensed club members, the proposed routes, different for each outing, can range from 30 to 50 km. The moderate pace contributes to practicing physical activity in a group adapted to each individual’s level; everyone should be able to find their place. The first three cycling excursions are planned for Saturdays March 28th, April 11th, and May 16th. In a period where cycling holds an important place in public discourse, we have a great example demonstrating that its practice is open to all and at all levels; this is also one of the goals of Cyclo sport villefranchois.
