From Thursday 23 to Sunday 26 April, from 2pm to 6pm, the municipal cinema Les Lumières will be transformed into a real playground and discovery area on the occasion of the fourth edition of Gaming aux Lumières. A meeting for young people and families around video games and cinema.

Throughout this festive event, accessible to all and intergenerational, the public will be able to explore the world of video games in all its forms: play, experiment, create, share, and experience collective emotions on a big screen. Video games, retro gaming (Gamers du grenier), virtual reality, XR headsets, and handicap-accessible chairs will allow everyone to discover and have fun, regardless of age or skill level.

During this event, young people are invited to participate in various activities, combining practice, creativity, and conviviality.

The fourth edition will start on Thursday, April 23 at 3pm, with an afternoon dedicated to families with a gaming session led by the association Playful, followed by the screening of the film “Super Mario Galaxy” by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic and a complimentary snack.

On Friday, April 24, from 2pm to 5pm, green screen workshops are scheduled to discover the backstage of the cinema and learn about image creation, with the projection of creations on a big screen with Vatos Locos. Additionally, a new family gaming session will take place at 3pm with the association Capitale du jeu vidéo. The film “The Addams Family” by Barry Sonnenfeld will be screened at 4:30 pm. From 7pm, it will be time for a gaming evening with pizza and the film “Return to Silent Hill” (VOST) by Christophe Gans (for ages 12 and up).

On Saturday, April 25, a participative Just Dance animation on a big screen with the young people of the citizen council will take place from 2pm to 5pm. Then, from 7pm to 10pm, a Fifa FC 26 tournament is scheduled for soccer fans with the association Capitale du jeu vidéo (from 8 years old).

The last day, Sunday, April 26, will be a family day with a screening once again of the film “Super Mario Galaxy” by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic at 2:30 pm. Then, a Mario Kart tournament, hosted by the cinema team, will take place at 4:30 pm. To conclude, there will be a premiere screening of the film “ChaO” by Yasuhiro Aoki at 6:30 pm.

Refreshment stands will punctuate these highlights and strengthen the spirit of sharing throughout the weekend. Plenty of fun to be had!
