On Sunday, April 19th, the Dany-Doriz hall in Gisors (Eure) will host the 13th edition of the record convention, an event eagerly anticipated by vinyl enthusiasts. This day is organized by the Amicale des collectionneurs de Gisors et de sa région, which brings together music and record enthusiasts.
Leading this event is Patrick Tesquet, a collector and music enthusiast from the 1960s. “We are already on the thirteenth edition and we have to turn people away!”
This year, 33 exhibitors from all over France have been selected to participate in the event. However, 19 other candidates are still on the waiting list in hopes of setting up their stand in Gisors. “We have exhibitors coming especially from the north,” explains François Levêque, president of the Amicale des collectionneurs. He does express a concern: “We hope that with the increase in fuel costs, those who come from far away will not ultimately be forced to cancel.”
Among the guests, the public will be able to meet Jean-Louis Rancurel, known as the “photographer of the stars” and a big fan of rock music. He is a regular at the record convention.
Another notable presence is Alain Dumont, a former member of the French rock band Les Lionceaux. For visitors, this day will also be an opportunity to expand their vinyl collection, for a entrance fee of two euros. The organizers hope that this 13th edition will attract many passionate individuals eager to find rare pieces for their turntables.
The 13th record convention will take place on Sunday, April 19th at the Dany-Doriz multipurpose room in Gisors from 9am to 6pm. The entrance fee is 2 euros, and children under 12 enter for free.
(Please note: The event mentioned in the article is scheduled for April 19, 2026, not a current event.)
