New Stage for “Rouen, the Sports Capital” Promoting Women in Sports

Another step forward for “Rouen, the sports capital” on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, which will be set up at Place des Emmurées with a focus on sports for women.

A village called “Rouen, the sports capital” will be taking place at Place des Emmurées on Wednesday, March 11 from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

This event is specifically aimed at women, but is open to everyone regardless of age, where the public can participate in various sports workshops.

Attendees can try out different sports workshops, including canoeing on a specialized machine and football thanks to the presence of FCR supervisors.

Additional workshops tailored specifically for women will also be organized.

The goal is to raise awareness among women about their rights, led by members of CIDFF, and to provide advice and information on health care by representatives of the Health Insurance.

Everything is free, so come and enjoy yourself, regardless of your skill level or physical condition.

This regular meeting program in the heart of the city’s neighborhoods aims to develop healthy sports habits on a regular basis.

It is centered around several objectives, including strengthening actions among students, initiating activities for seniors in an intergenerational logic, and promoting female participation.

This initiative is the legacy of the “Terre de Jeux” sessions that marked the 2024 Olympic year. It has already been deployed at Dalle de la Grand’Mare, Place Saint-Sever, Parc Grammont, and now at Place des Emmurées.
