On Friday the 17th and Saturday the 18th of April, Le Grand Brassage will take place. “This name is the link between different styles of music, people, and a nod to beer,” Jesus smiles. As for the price, the organizers have decided to set a “free and conscious” price, starting from 1 euro. “Everyone gives what they want according to their means,” explains the brewer. This amount will be given to the bands.

From punk to stoner

The program for these two nights includes three bands each time. On Friday night, Empty Brain from Saintes (rock), the third-place winners of the Coup de pouce competition in Saintes, will open this first edition. Luma Project from Bordeaux-Chapelle (rock) will then take the stage with their compositions inspired by Queens of the Stone Age and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Finally, Walnut Grove DC from La Rochelle (stoner rock) will close this first night.

The next day, on Saturday, the punk band Cheun2garde from Saintonge will present their newly released demo. Syland (progressive rock from Saintes), previously featured at the famous Crescendo festival in Saint-Palais-sur-Mer, will give the audience a mesmerizing performance. And to end on a high note, the veteran punk band Mind the Gap from La Rochelle will close this first event.
