Paris Saint-Germain is the most represented club in the expert’s squad for Matchday 14 of the UEFA Fantasy game presented by PlayStation. The defending champion has five representatives for the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, including first-leg goalscorers Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué, while Viktor Gyökeres leads a contingent of four Arsenal players and the Bayern duo Harry Kane and Michael Olise, Lamine Yamal from FC Barcelona, and Julián Alvarez from Atleti. Goalkeepers The two selected goalkeepers did not concede in the first-leg matches last week. Matvei Safonov earned six points as Paris Saint-Germain defeated Liverpool 2-0, his second consecutive clean sheet and third this season in the Champions League. David Raya was the top-performing goalkeeper in Matchday 13, finishing with ten points. His clean sheet in Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Sporting CP was his seventh in ten appearances this season, surpassing Thibaut Courtois as the most prolific player in his position. Defenders Paris and Arsenal both provide two defenders each. Budget constraints leave out Nuno Mendes and Virgil van Dijk as the top defensive scorers, but Willian Pacho ranks third with only five Fantasy points, as does Paris captain Marquinhos, both players accumulating points through recoveries, a generally reliable source of points. Gabriel is tied with Marquinhos with 57 Fantasy points, making the Brazilian the top scorer in Arsenal’s defense. Ben White earned six points against Sporting last week, completing his fourth six-point return in his last five appearances. Matteo Ruggeri completed the defense with ten points in Atleti’s first-leg victory over FC Barcelona, including his third assist and his first clean sheet of the season. Midfielders There is also a Parisian double in midfield, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia now the top scorer in the game after his 11-point performance in the first leg, making him a serious contender for the Fantasy armband on Tuesday. Désiré Doué scored the other goal for Paris in the first-leg win over Liverpool, bringing his total to 40 points in five knockout stage appearances. Michael Olise now has eight assists in this edition of the UEFA Champions League after Bayern’s win against Real Madrid in the first leg, totaling 23 points in just two appearances in the knockout stage. Lamine Yamal will likely be pivotal to Barcelona’s comeback hopes against Atleti, averaging seven Fantasy points per match since Matchday 11, while Atleti’s Giuliano Simeone is a budget-friendly option with two goals, an assist, and two Player of the Match titles this season. Forwards In the three forward positions, two players are likely must-haves for Fantasy managers. Harry Kane earned 20 points in his last two appearances and 78 this season thanks to his 11 goals and four Player of the Match titles. Julián Alvarez scored four goals and provided two assists in Atleti’s last three matches, reaching 85 Fantasy points with nine goals and four assists, being named Player of the Match three times. Viktor Gyökeres did not score in Arsenal’s first-leg win against his former club Sporting but found the net in the Premier League this weekend, bringing his total to six goals in his last five matches for club and country. Three of the Swede’s four Champions League goals this season were scored at the Arsenal Stadium.
