Luciano Spalletti has extended his contract with Juventus until 2028, the most successful club in the history of Italian football. The team confirmed the extension by publishing a video on social media of Spalletti addressing his players. The Juventus general manager, Damien Comolli, expressed his confidence in Spalletti, stating that he is the right person to lead the team.
Spalletti took over as Juventus coach in October when the team was in 7th place in the Italian Championship and has since led them to 5th place. Despite some ups and downs, the team has shown improvement under his leadership.
Before joining Juventus, Spalletti faced failure as the head coach of the Italian national team, resulting in his dismissal. He was then replaced by Gennaro Gattuso. The team failed to qualify for the World Cup, continuing their disappointing streak from previous tournaments.
As Juventus prepares to face Atalanta Bergamo, another strong contender for European competition, the team is hoping to secure a spot in the Champions League next season.
