Discussions between the United States and Iran begin in Pakistan
- Discussions between the United States and Iran begin on Saturday, April 11 in Pakistan amid mistrust.
- Among Iran’s demands is the need for a ceasefire in Lebanon, heavily hit by Israel in recent days.
- LCI is in Beirut to report on the situation.
On Friday, April 10, Israel announced that it had killed 180 Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon two days earlier. But these strikes are so extensive that they also affect the civilian population, especially in Beirut. “There were at least 13 deaths yesterday
(Friday, Editor’s note) in the Nabatieh region, including rescue workers
,” reports special envoy Marion Russell on LCI.
“In Beirut, since Wednesday and the massive strikes that killed many people in the city center, the return to calm is relative. No bombings, indeed, but this Lebanese resilience that is often mentioned must not hide the fear and suffering of the Lebanese people who still live to the sounds of war
,” she adds in a segment that can be seen in the video at the top of this article.
