On Saturday, April 25, 2026, the Sport Nature station is organizing a day of animations near Vire Normandie to mark the official start of its season at the Dathée leisure base. This event, open to all, will take place at multiple sites and will focus on discovering outdoor activities.
From 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm, visitors can participate in various activities organized by local partners such as the Renarderie equestrian center, the Dathée leisure base, Etape en forêt, and the Vire golf course. These activities will allow families and sports enthusiasts to try out or engage in outdoor activities.
The day will continue in the evening with an aperitif-concert from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Dathée leisure base, featuring the NVS Music Band. During the previous edition, the event attracted 400 people to the leisure base, 250 participants to Etape en forêt, and allowed for 50 pony rides at the Renarderie equestrian center. The golf course also saw high attendance throughout the afternoon.
“This day brings visibility to the region and showcases the diversity of our activities,” said Mélanie Deslandes, co-director of the MJC, and Noémie Esnoult, deputy director of Etape en forêt. With this new edition, the Sport Nature station aims to confirm its appeal and invite residents and visitors to enjoy a friendly and inclusive moment in the heart of local natural spaces.
Activities at the leisure base include disc golf, archery, biathlon, treasure hunt, skike, pedal boat, kayaking, and paddle (€1 per person). Golf offers initiation, Etape en forêt includes tree climbing initiation, and the equestrian center offers pony rides for €3.
