When Donald Trump suddenly launched his war against Iran, some wondered if it was a diversion to shift focus away from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. So, when Melania Trump, the president’s wife, made a mysterious appearance on April 9 at the White House to discuss the Epstein affair, some also saw it as a way to divert attention from the disastrous turn the war in Iran had taken.
The first lady of the United States emerged from the Blue Room [a reception room in the White House] and stood behind a lectern flanked by large American flags in the entrance hall of the White House, with its crystal chandeliers, marble columns, and sparkling checkered floor.
As the clicking of photographers subsided, Melania, exuding a cold fury, declared, with her now famous Slovenian accent:
” The lies about me and the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein must stop today.”
At that moment, all of America wondered what she was talking about: “What lies? We probably read something about it a few months ago, but we have other fish to fry at the moment.”
But Melania was adamant that she was not a victim of Epstein.
