According to Le Figaro TV, “a loud bang” disrupted the crowd’s contemplation towards the end of the ceremony, around noon. As a procession was organized at the exit of the Christian place of worship, revealing the star’s entirely pink coffin and a large portrait of her, these explosion sounds would have agitated the crowd. Impatience followed: “This time, the crowd is angry. Journalists and their cameras prevent them from seeing the coffin properly,” report our colleagues, quoting Loana’s fans who directly confronted the journalists present on site: “Loana, we want to see you one last time! Journalists, get out! Go away hypocrites!” they shouted at the press before “calming down when the view was cleared.”

Contrary to initial announcements, Loana’s daughter Mindy, and her granddaughter Maelysse, were not present at the ceremony. Her mother Violette was, however, accompanied by her brother Gérald, with whom she led the procession. Some of her former colleagues from the small screen were also there to bid farewell to Loana. While iconic Loft Story personalities like Jean-Edouard Lipa and Kenza were notably absent, other reality TV stars like Steevy Boulay, Christophe, and Julie Mercy were present in Nice, alongside the show’s producer Alexia Laroche-Joubert and former host Benjamin Castaldi. However, close ones of the deceased lamented the absence of public figures who had made headlines at Loana’s death. The ceremony was not without its share of controversies.
