The end of an era. On March 25th, Loana Petrucciani was found lifeless at her home, at the age of 48. The autopsy results, made public on March 31st, indicate that the winner of Loft Story 1 may have succumbed to a “falling backward” at home: a theory confirmed by the doctors’ conclusions highlighting “a superficial scalp wound compatible with a fall from body height to the ground” as well as “small bruises on the back, lumbar, and buttocks compatible with the hypothesis of a fall to the ground,” as noted by L’Internaute.

On Friday, April 10, 2026, the funeral of the first French reality TV star Loana was held in Nice. Several public figures made the trip to pay their final respects to the deceased, along with fans saddened by Loana’s tragic fate. A beautiful ceremony that ended in a slight panic…

Funeral of Loana: the ceremony disturbed by loud noises and crowd agitation

According to Le Figaro TV, “a loud bang” disrupted the crowd’s contemplation towards the end of the ceremony, around noon. As a procession was organized at the exit of the Christian place of worship, revealing the star’s entirely pink coffin and a large portrait of her, these explosion sounds would have agitated the crowd. Impatience followed: “This time, the crowd is angry. Journalists and their cameras prevent them from seeing the coffin properly,” report our colleagues, quoting Loana’s fans who directly confronted the journalists present on site: “Loana, we want to see you one last time! Journalists, get out! Go away hypocrites!” they shouted at the press before “calming down when the view was cleared.”

Who was present at Loana’s funeral?

Contrary to initial announcements, Loana’s daughter Mindy, and her granddaughter Maelysse, were not present at the ceremony. Her mother Violette was, however, accompanied by her brother Gérald, with whom she led the procession. Some of her former colleagues from the small screen were also there to bid farewell to Loana. While iconic Loft Story personalities like Jean-Edouard Lipa and Kenza were notably absent, other reality TV stars like Steevy Boulay, Christophe, and Julie Mercy were present in Nice, alongside the show’s producer Alexia Laroche-Joubert and former host Benjamin Castaldi. However, close ones of the deceased lamented the absence of public figures who had made headlines at Loana’s death. The ceremony was not without its share of controversies.
