Spain continues to confirm its good economic health while persisting in defying the authoritarian dictates of Brussels. This March, the economic locomotive of Europe surpassed 22 million people in employment for the first time in its history, creating 211,510 jobs. A new record for the labor market of the EU’s fourth-largest economy, which also saw a slight improvement in unemployment (a 0.9% decrease with a total of 2.42 million jobseekers, the lowest figure for this month since 2008).
A situation that did not go unnoticed by the President of the left-wing coalition government, socialist Pedro Sanchez, who paid tribute to the workers of his country. “This is the result of all the work reforms we have undertaken,” affirmed the number three of the executive and Minister of Labor, Yolanda Diaz (Sumar party), highlighting the female unemployment rate – the lowest since 2008 – and youth unemployment – the lowest since these statistics have been recorded. Bravo!
