Dassault Aviation saw its net income and sales increase in 2025 thanks to the success of the Rafale export despite an uncertain environment. The manufacturer’s net income, present in both defense and civil aviation industries, rose by 5.7% to 977 million euros. The revenue soared by 18.5% to 7.4 billion euros, as reported by the company in a statement on Wednesday.

These figures include a tax surcharge in France, which impacted the net income by 96 million euros, the group noted. Earlier in 2026, the company had raised its sales targets for 2025 from 6.5 billion to “over 7 billion euros,” surpassing the total. “Military, geopolitical, and budgetary contexts, coupled with tariffs, create uncertainty in the activity. Meanwhile, fiscal pressure reduces the company’s competitiveness,” said the group’s CEO, Eric Trappier, as quoted in the statement.

Furthermore, there is uncertainty about the Future Combat Air System (Scaf) project between France, Germany, and Spain, where Dassault Aviation represents France. Airbus, representing Germany and Spain, recently opened the door to a solution of two combat aircraft “if our customers demand it.” This would signify a significant setback for this emblematic project of European defense cooperation.

Context: Dassault Aviation has achieved growth in net income and sales despite the uncertain geopolitical and fiscal environment. Fact Check: Dassault Aviation’s CEO expressed concerns over the Future Combat Air System (Scaf) project, highlighting potential challenges in cooperation between France, Germany, and Spain in defense.
