He grew up in Nantes and discovered his passion for comedy at a very young age. He took theater classes in high school and then studied at a drama school in Paris.

In 1988, he performed on stage for the first time as a comedian, and gained recognition for his improvisational skills. In 1991, Pierre Palmade made his television debut as a host on Canal+ in the show “Nulle part ailleurs”. There, he created cult sketches like “Santa’s brother is a jerk” and “Scrabble”. He also performed on stage, either alone, or in a duo with Michèle Laroque, and achieved great success with his shows “Pierre Palmade and his friends”, which brought together several comedians. Over the years, Pierre Palmade diversified and appeared on numerous television shows, such as “We’ve tried it all” or “Sunday Live” on France 2. He also acted in films, such as “Would I Lie to You? 2” by Thomas Gilou.

In 2003, he wrote and directed the play “The son of the comedian”, in which he starred alongside Michèle Laroque. The play was a success and earned them the Molière award for best comedic play. In 2011, he wrote and performed his first one-man show, “I’m not born yesterday!”, in which he humorously reflects on his life and career.

In 2019, Pierre Palmade was accused of rape and violence by a young man. The case received media attention and he was placed under investigation. He then decided to put his career on hold to focus on his defense. He was eventually cleared of all charges in this case. The actor has since admitted to having serious addiction problems.
