The Museum of Romantic Life invites us to a very special evening on May 23, 2026: activities are organized for the 22nd edition of the Night of Museums in Paris.

You loved the movie “Night at the Museum”? We offer you to experience the same adventure… well, almost. On Saturday, May 23, 2026, museums, monuments, and castles across France invite us to the Night of Museums: an evening of exhibitions, concerts, activities, and surprises of all kinds, for the whole family.

The Museum of Romantic Life also participates in this 22nd edition and offers us a timeless moment, with various performances organized in the museum’s different spaces. It’s an opportunity to (re)discover the residence of Ary Scheffer and his artist friends, such as the famous George Sand, who left a mark on Parisian life in the 19th century. The Night of Museums also allows us to enjoy the temporary exhibition currently presented in this hidden museum of the 9th arrondissement.

So, what can you actually do during this special evening at the Museum of Romantic Life? Discover the program of festivities, and remember: this museum is quickly overrun by Parisians during the Night of Museums. It is advisable to arrive early to not miss out on the evening’s activities!

The program of the Night of Museums at the Museum of Romantic Life

  • Duo Voco-Cello, meeting between voice and cello
    Saturday, May 23, 2026 – 19:00 to 22:30
The Museum of Romantic Life welcomes the Duo Voco-Cello, bringing together two artists from the Opera National Montpellier Occitanie: Hwanyoo Lee, soprano within the Opera Chorus, and Cyrille Tricoire de Haro, solo cello supersolist of the Orchestra. This proposal is part of the “Focus Korea” program, organized by the Korean Cultural Center in partnership with Paris Museums, celebrating the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and France.

The Duo Voco-Cello presents a program focused on the meeting between voice and cello, two tones connected by breath and their ability to carry emotion. In resonance with the spirit of the place and its anchoring in romantic imagination, the program weaves a dialogue between different works and repertoires, in a sensitive and transversal approach. Some works integrate a light electronic device, used in real-time to enrich the cello’s resonances and open up to new nuances. Designed for the Night of Museums, this program follows the rhythm of the evening and offers a unique musical moment, in harmony with the singular atmosphere of this night.

The duo will perform three 30-minute sessions in the museum courtyard, between 19:00 and 22:00.

How can you resist this program? For us, it’s clear, the Museum of Romantic Life is a must-visit during our Parisian Night of Museums!
