The Beuchay film company was honored by “Cinema l’Affiche” on Saturday, March 28th and Sunday, March 29th. The films “The Fairy’s Treasure” and its sequel “The Secrets of the Grimoire” were showcased. The director and actors attended both screenings to interact with the audience. Only six (Saturday) and nine (Sunday) people attended.
This association was established in Langres in 2018. They initially produced short films before venturing into a large-scale fantasy film, “The Fairy’s Treasure.” While the adventures of the heroine, Iris, are captivating, the film showcases various locations and villages around Langres. Under the direction of Sebastien Blondin, actors and technicians volunteered. In “The Fairy’s Treasure,” Iris, an orphan, came to live with her uncle in the countryside, encountering ominous characters.
In the sequel, titled “The Secrets of the Grimoire,” Iris’ adventures become even more fantastical, including time jumps to the Middle Ages. The audience interacted with Sebastien Blondin, the screenplay writer and director, as well as actors Lionel Marichal (Tiberius) and Samuel Foucard (Uncle Richard). Questions ranged from shooting locations to special effects meticulously crafted by Sebastien during editing.
The company is preparing for their next film, “Eponine and Sabinus,” featuring a Gaulish hero couple. They are looking for male and female actors aged 25 to 35 and will hold auditions on April 8th at 10 am and April 9th at 6 pm.
