The football club Les Mages-Saint-Ambroix has regained its familiar turf: the Saint-Ambroix stadium has been officially reapproved, and has seen its first official matches since the end of the renovations. This was a highly anticipated moment for the local players, officials, and the public, as the return home held symbolic value for the club and the community.

A several-month project

In recent months, the site underwent significant renovations: the locker rooms were refurbished, the goalposts were brought up to standard, various technical interventions were made, all of which were often disrupted by unpredictable weather. It was no easy task, but the municipality stayed on course, with a clear goal in mind: to allow the club to play again at home, under good conditions.

It is now a reality, much to the delight of the members, their families, volunteers, and even the students who regularly use this facility for their sports activities.

_”The club’s return to its stadium is an important milestone for our community,”_ emphasized Mayor Jean-Pierre De Faria. _”After months of work and investment, we can finally offer our players, young and old, a dignified environment to pursue their passion. This stadium is a tool for our area: it educates, it shapes, and it contributes to the vibrancy of Saint-Ambroix. Thank you to everyone who made this possible, and welcome back home!”_

Beyond just a football field, the reopening of the stadium signifies the City’s continued support for sports and community life. The municipality also notes that the oversight of these matters is now entrusted to Bernard Rance, the municipal deputy in charge of sports and community life, responsible for supporting the clubs and ensuring the smooth operation of the facilities.

For the club Les Mages-Saint-Ambroix, which has hundreds of members and a thriving youth football program, this return to the Saint-Ambroix field marks the beginning of a new chapter, with the ambition to continue its sports development while remaining a major player in local conviviality.

Numerous matches are already planned, much to the delight of the growing number of football fans in our country.
