The newspaper L’Équipe has revealed its annual estimate of the salaries earned by Ligue 1 players. Unsurprisingly, Ousmane Dembélé and PSG are leading the way.
A Ballon d’Or salary? Just like in 2025, Ousmane Dembélé comfortably tops the traditional ranking of the highest-paid players in Ligue 1 established by L’Équipe. According to these estimates, the 28-year-old French international earns 1.5 million euros gross per month.
Højbjerg is 13th and the first non-Parisian
He unsurprisingly surpasses his PSG captain, Marquinhos (1.120 million euros). The podium is completed by Achraf Hakimi (1.1 million euros) and Lucas Hernandez (1.1 million euros), who share the third place. It takes until the 13th spot to find the first non-Parisian player on this list: Marseille’s midfielder and key player, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, with an estimated monthly salary of 500,000 euros gross.
This is more than Corentin Tolisso (450,000 euros), Brice Samba (400,000 euros), Sofiane Diop (350,000 euros), or Eric Dier (330,000 euros), who are at the top in Lyon, Rennes, Nice, and Monaco. Among Marseille players, other names appear in the top 30, including Mason Greenwood (450,000 euros), Geoffrey Kondogbia (450,000 euros), and Nayef Aguerd (400,000 euros).
L’Équipe also specifies that these amounts do not include any potential bonuses received by players throughout the season, which can sometimes increase the total.
