A 15-year-old student committed suicide after shooting a teacher at a high school in Texas on Monday, according to authorities in this southern state of the United States. “A teacher was shot by a student and taken to a hospital in San Antonio. We currently do not have information on her condition. The student involved, a 15-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene,” the office of the sheriff of Comal County stated on their Facebook page.
“The student shot the teacher, then we believe he turned the weapon on himself,” added the county sheriff, Mark Reynolds, during a press conference.
According to him, the situation was quickly brought under control. The school where the shooting took place was quickly locked down and the students were transferred to a nearby school where their parents were able to pick them up.
